This fully automatic double-head rotary powder filling machine is a high-speed, high-precision solution for large-volume powder bottling/canning production. Designed for food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, it uses a rotary turntable and dual auger dosing system to maximize throughput while maintaining consistent filling accuracy.

1. Core Structure & Components

A. Rotary Turntable & Container Handling System

  • Rotary Indexing Turntable: The central rotating platform moves containers through the filling station at a controlled, indexed speed. It ensures precise positioning of each bottle under the filling nozzles, eliminating spillage and misalignment.
  • Infeed/Outfeed Conveyors: Linear stainless steel conveyors transport empty containers into the machine and carry filled containers to downstream processes (e.g., capping, labeling). They feature adjustable guide rails to accommodate different bottle sizes.
  • Bottle Stabilizing Mechanism: Spring-loaded clamps or holders keep containers upright and centered during filling, even at high speeds.


B. Dual Auger Dosing System (Double-Head Unit)

  • Twin Conical Hoppers: Two large, enclosed stainless steel hoppers store bulk powder, each fitted with an internal agitator to prevent powder bridging, caking, and uneven flow.
  • Servo-Driven Auger Screws: Two precision auger screws (one per hopper) are independently controlled by high-torque servo motors. They meter powder volume through controlled rotation, delivering consistent fill weights for each container.
  • Anti-Dust Filling Nozzles: The dual filling spouts are designed to minimize airborne powder during dispensing. Telescopic or enclosed nozzles can be fitted to reduce dust emissions and cross-contamination risks.


C. Protective Enclosure & Safety System

  • Transparent Safety Guard: A full stainless steel frame with clear polycarbonate doors encloses the entire filling area, preventing operator contact with moving parts and containing dust. It includes safety interlocks that stop the machine if doors are opened during operation.
  • Control & Operation Panel: A user-friendly touchscreen HMI is mounted on the side of the machine, allowing operators to set parameters like fill weight, production speed, turntable indexing rate, and auger rotation. It supports multi-language settings and stores product recipes for quick changeovers.
  • Emergency Stop & Safety Alarms: Red emergency stop buttons, over-load protection, and error alerts for jams, low powder levels, or misaligned containers ensure safe and reliable operation.


D. Main Frame & Base

  • Stainless Steel Cabinet: The robust 304 stainless steel base houses electrical components, motors, and mechanical parts. It is easy to clean and sanitize, with lockable doors for maintenance access.
  • Adjustable Leveling Feet: Heavy-duty feet ensure stability on uneven factory floors, reducing vibration during high-speed rotary operation.


2. Working Principle & Process Flow

  1. Container Infeed: Empty containers are fed onto the infeed conveyor and guided into the rotary turntable.
  2. Turntable Indexing: The turntable rotates to position each container under one of the two filling nozzles.
  3. Simultaneous Filling: Both auger screws dispense a preset volume of powder into the containers simultaneously. The agitators in the hoppers maintain consistent powder density, while the servo motors control auger rotation for precise dosing.
  4. Turntable Indexing & Outfeed: Once filling is complete, the turntable rotates again to move filled containers to the outfeed conveyor, which transports them to the next production stage.

This ensures minimal product giveaway and compliance with strict weight regulations, making it ideal for premium products or regulated industries like pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.
